Vaset skiheiser (ski lifts)
Located appr. 300 metres from the camp school
Two lifts
Has its own kids slope – perfect for beginners

Alpine is offered during the winter season - in January, February, March and April. The alpine resort is not owned by Brennabu, and those wishes to attend the alpine day must pay themselves. Those not choosing alpine will have a program consisting of stone grinding and balancing line.

The camp schoolteachers supervise and teach in the slalom hill, both in slalom, “Telemark” and on snowboard. Accompanying teachers are expected to attend and take responsibility in the slalom hill – after further instructions from the camp schoolteachers.

Those choosing activities in the alpine resort will spend the whole day there – from around 10.30 till 16.00. We want to advice that being a beginner on snowboard may be challenging, and to both master the lift and the hill may take longer than the time we have to this day. In the ski lift there is a cafeteria which will be open for the pupils, and they can eat their brought lunches there.

Rental of equipment

The equipment is prepared in advance so that teacher and pupils will not spend unnecessary time adjusting the gear when arriving at the hill. A list of pupils going to the hill with their own gear, and a list of the pupils needing to rent equipment is filled out by the class teacher and sent to the camp school a minimum of 1 week prior to arrival (see link on the right). When renting slalom skis, an amount of kg must be noted so that those in the ski lift can adjust the bindings correctly to release at the correct time. Adjustment of slalom bindings and the length of the skis/snowboard is prepared intermediately skilled users unless otherwise stated in the rental form.

Helm sizes are the same as for hats:

Size. XS (53/54 cm), S (55/56 cm), M (57/58 cm), L (59/60 cm), XL (61/62 cm).

Payment

Lift card, as well as ski rental is paid in advance on Vipps to nr. 122599. Mark the payment with the name of the pupil, school and what the payment is for in the comment field. It’s also possible to have the payment for the alpine day invoiced combined to the school/municipality.

NB! If you are paying the amount via Vipps, we ask that this is done the week/weekend before arrival, not earlier.

Equipment

It is possible to rent gear for those who need it, or you can bring your own gear. For us to be able to prepare everything (both for those who want an alpine day and for those who want another activity on this day), we would like to have a binding registration for the slalom hill. Meaning  that those who have their own gear also sign up and are listed on the list that is sent to the camp school.

Responsibility and insurance

The lessee is responsible for returning the equipment in the condition in which it was rented. Any damage to the equipment must be paid for by the lessee. The class must arrange for insurances on their own. It is possible to take out insurance for the ski equipment from the ski rental for NOK 30 per set. The insurance covers normal use. Uninsured equipment that is damaged will be invoiced in afterwards. The camp school recommends parents and the school to REQUIRE the use of helmets.
