Tåsen Uke 48

Tåsen school, December 2021

We were visited by the 7th grade from Tåsen school in the beginning of December. After the stay, they were given homework to write about the camp school stay. We were lucky enough to be sent some of them.

Brennabu Camp school, Maria 7A:

"Brennabu was so much fun! I enjoyed every single day. It ranged from sliding on the snow, to snow grinding, to zip-lining, to disco and to the looong trip in the mountains. That trip was amazing. We had to do many hikes because it was so steep and exhausting. It was so worth it! When we were halfway, we lit a fire and ate the lunch we had made before. After that we walked up, and it was probably the most beautiful view in the world. But it was really windy. We went down again with a really pretty sunset.

"There was a lot of delicious food in the canteen. When we arrived after the three-hour long bus journey, there was delicious chicken and rice in the canteen. It was very good. Every day there was dessert. Our first dessert was chocolate pudding with vanilla sauce, and they wanted to see how much sauce people took. To be perfectly honest, not many people saw the pudding".

"I think camp school was a lot of fun! I got a lot of good memories, and it was nice there. What I liked the most was probably grinding rocks. I've never done that before, so it was exciting to try something new. The zipline was also very fun. It was a bit scary at first, but it was fun even if I only got to do a few laps. They had found activities that suited everyone, and many got to try new things, which was great fun.

The teachers at Brennabu were very nice and were very good at looking after everyone. Rène was very funny and put everyone in a good mood. Brita Siri had very nice and strange stories, which were fun to listen to. They were very nice to be with.

The food at Brennabu was very good. Taco for dinner were the best. There were nice chefs there who prepared good food. They were good at breakfast, and we made packed lunches every day, which was because I don't usually do it at home. So, I got to learn something useful.

We didn't bring a cell phone. Only when I left did I think that I could never live without my mobile phone. And that I could die if I didn't have it. But at Brennabu it didn't feel like I had a mobile phone at all. That there was no mobile phone. It was very nice not to have a mobile phone, I didn't think about it, because there was so much to do!

At camp school we learned a lot. We learned about nature, and we learned about how to dress when we go on a trip. I have learned a lot at the camp school which I can use later in life. I will miss being at camp school, I would love to be there for another week! I made a lot of good memories and got to know people better!"

"I will never forget the nice and fun week at Brennabu camp school."
