November - April
The winter mountains at its best! Snow and cold - a winter sky simply indescribable in blue and pink, adventurous dark evenings with a sparkling night sky, and snow squeaking under the shoes. An experience one will not forget!
We emphasize the pupils focus and experience with skis, snow, nature, as well as sensible behaviour and clothing in the winter mountains. The children will be divided into groups (worked out with the class teacher and the camp schoolteacher) when you arrive at the camp school.
The activities must be adjusted according to weather- and conditions. The safety of the children will always be the main focus. In case of extreme cold, the day will be divided so that the outside time is shorter. We continuously improve our program, meaning that changes may occur.
Things to practice before camp school
The clock
Tying shoelaces
Put on bedwear
Sleeping away from home
Pack your lunch
At the camp school we go outside in all weather, so it’s important that you bring clothing for both cold weathers, and the wind. Think wisely, not fashionable. The winter in the high mountains can be cold!
We have two webcams here at Brennabu showing our area. It can be wise to look at these to see how the weather is up here. Especially during the transition between winter and spring, and autumn and winter.
