Beautiful dishes for large occasions
3-course dinner, tapas, casseroles with game meat and buffets are some of what our skilled kitchen team can provide- both for events in the dining hall in the main building, and in the venue space Låvin. You can find our menus in the box to the right.
Inger Berits signature dish – Moose casserole
Rumours spread far and wide about the casserole of our head chef – it’s been served at weddings and for large anniversaries. This is locally sourced food at its bet. Hunter Eivind Brenna states: “We harvest moose from the area west of Grønsennknippa, which is visible towards Hemsedal. Moose graces in the outer areas, and at times end up in the mountain area and “Golsfjellet” in the coniferous forest where the winter pastures are located. Local hunters, including Bendik and Eivind Brenna hunt from 25th of September and to the end of October.” And the dish is made right here in our kitchen by Inger Berit, often with a salad and homemade mashed potatoes. That can never go wrong.
Catering for large and small events
We also deliver catering for large and small events in our event venue Låvin, being it is weddings, family get-togethers, Christmas parties or anniversaries. Choose from our menus or send us a request should you have other wishes. We can tailor a menu according to your wishes and needs.
The kitchen has many years of experience when it comes to adapting meals to allergies or diets.
Catering to your cabin
Imagine arriving to a finished dinner Friday night. All you need to do is to warm up the meal in the kitchen in your cabin. We have created several menus you can choose from. The food is delivered in ovenproof forms ready to be heated up. You order the food at post@brennabu.no. The order must be received by us one week prior to your arrival. The food is picked up from our kitchen in the main building upon your arrival.
